We have been officially a member of GEFMA (German Facility Management Association) practically since its founding in 2013.

The GEFMA is the industry association of facility management (FM). With around 1,000 members from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other EU countries, he sees himself as a representative of interests vis-à-vis politics, the media and the public. GEFMA was founded in Stuttgart in 1989 and is based in Bonn.

The GEFMA is involved in standardization work for facility management and provides working aids and technical support for all market participants. The guidelines developed are intended to provide legal certainty beyond the German market. Quality standards with certification have evolved from some guidelines. In the case of training and further education in facility management, the association certifies FM degree programs and educational institutions and establishes framework curricula and subject catalogs for higher education and operational qualification.

GEFMA is committed to the sustainable operation of real estate and real estate with a certifiable standard (GEFMA 160 – Sustainability in Facility Management). The association is committed to studies and projects as a cooperation partner for science and awards prizes to young researchers for outstanding scientific achievements and project work. It supports public relations work for facility management and its topics such as digitalization, operator responsibility and workplace management.

For IT applications in FM (CAFM Computer Aided Facility Management), GEFMA provides working materials. The company’s own certification system, certification according to GEFMA Directive 444, certifies a minimum standard of software products.

We have also had our CAFM solution Axxerion certified according to GEFMA guidelines throughout the years.
