The ABDA – Federal Association of German Pharmacists’ Associations is the head organization of German pharmacists based in Berlin. It was founded in 1950. All 17 state chambers of pharmacists and all 17 state associations of pharmacists are members of the ABDA.
One of the most important tasks of the ABDA is to safeguard the common interests of the pharmacy healing profession. This requires a lively exchange of information within and outside the ABDA. It takes place both nationwide and internationally.
The ABDA promotes the intensive exchange of views and experiences between member organizations. It informs and advises them on relevant processes in the health, pharmacy and pharmaceutical sectors. In matters relating to the supply of medicines of national importance, the ABDA negotiates with politicians and the relevant institutions (authorities, corporations, etc.).
In the interest of comprehensive and high-quality patient care, the ABDA advocates for uniform principles of the activities of pharmacists in community pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, universities, industry and public authorities across the country.
The starting point was the selection of a suitable CAFM system for the new association headquarters in Berlin. It is an 8-story office building with approximately 6,000 m² gross vehicle weight and an underground parking garage including a car elevator. The building is at a high technical level. There are approximately 140 workstations; for meetings, a plenary hall is provided on the ground floor for approximately 140 people, a representative meeting room is provided on the 6th floor for approximately 35 people, and a meeting room for approximately 16 people is provided on all office floors.
In summary, the mapping of the following processes was described as a functional requirement for the software:
- Digitization of office equipment orders
- Automation of order processing for room reservations
For this purpose, the first step in Axxerion was to compile inventory data in the form of an area directory (CAD), the employee* directory (Excel) and for office resource procurement or similar. Processes Inventory data/catalog data integrated.
We look forward to working with the ABDA team and to continuing our collaboration!
