Who is Nordsee

NORDSEE GmbH is Europe’s number one in fish system catering. Around 5,000 employees, in over 330 restaurants in Germany and Austria, must be provided with facility services by the FM department. A total of 60,000 m² of gross floor space must be managed and maintained by the FM department. For typical FM tasks such as waste management, compliance with government regulations, construction-related FM, sustainability projects and the like, a CAFM system offers great relief in fulfilling daily tasks.

What challenges existed before the introduction of CAFM?

For typical FM tasks such as waste management, compliance with government regulations, construction-related FM, sustainability projects and the like, a CAFM system offers great relief in fulfilling daily tasks.

The implementation and expansion of a CAFM solution is therefore a high priority for the FM department at NORDSEE GmbH. The focus is on optimizing all processes and tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the branches, as well as all technical building equipment used there. Depending on the location, external service providers are also used for the maintenance of technical trades such as elevators, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen technology, dispensing systems, etc.

Ensuring high plant availability, optimising processes in the selection and control of external service providers and the complete documentation of test reports and government requirements are therefore the most important requirements for the software solution.

In order to be able to fulfill and document these tasks sustainably, NORDSEE GmbH has decided to introduce the web-based CAFM system Axxerion.

The result

What are the results of the CAFM rollout?

The selection process was critically influenced by the flexibility of the cloud-based SAAS solution. The data structure and the business processes running in the background in the Axxerion System can be adapted to new needs at any time and without programming knowledge, in accordance with the requirements of NORDSEE GmbH. In this way, changes in the constantly tightening rules can be taken into account quickly and sustainably and can also be demonstrably documented.

Changes in the selection of external service providers and changes in their areas of responsibility can also be quickly incorporated and reflected in the software. Another advantage is the connection of external service providers. In the web-based solution Axxerion, these can be easily integrated into the system with their own access. The permissions to view and modify documents such as operating instructions, work orders, checklists, maintenance certificates can be individually adapted to the respective user groups and service managers.

Use of the software
The CAFM System Axxerion has its own fully integrated module for the legally secure documentation of test reports (keyword: operator responsibility).
This module provides functionalities for version and revision management, access control, viewing, and comment insertion.
It is fully integrated into the „Workflow Management“ module, supporting procedures such as „Approve“, „Publish“, „Archive“ and „Print“. The module can be quickly and easily customized for each user group by granting specific access rights for fields and functions. This means that in the Axxerion area around the North Sea, external service providers and branch managers are involved in the documentation processes or have access.

This possibility of adapting the user interface both for professional users in the FM specialist department and for occasional users in the branches makes it possible to work with a single system. It is possible to hide specific fields and functions for some user groups and to show built-in help texts. In addition, Axxerion’s user interface is automatically adaptable to the user’s specific location.

The web-based CAFM System Axxerion can be used as a tool for individual processes, for overarching tasks or as a complete solution. Thanks to the flexibly adaptable workflow modules, Axxerion is able to map every process as it is actually lived in the company.
